Green Roofs Technical Workshop

The Green Roofs Workshop is a technical training workshop aimed at final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students in gardening, architecture, or agronomy, and at people at risk of social exclusion with training in these fields (professional certificate or vocational training).

It is led by leading experts and circular economy practitioners, and gives students the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge of green roof assembly techniques, from design to installation and maintenance.

Both the theoretical and the practical content will use active methodologies (cooperative learning, project-based learning, flipped classroom, etc.), techniques and strategies that place students at the center of learning, promoting a more inclusive and participatory model of education.

The overall goal is to provide skills and competencies in green roofs to generate new business models and green jobs within the circular ecosystem, preparing future professionals for new employment demands in the context of the ecological transition.
