Why at CIEC Madrid?
The third sector, as the stakeholder closest to citizens, plays a key role in promoting and ensuring that the development of a circular economy system is inclusive and responsive to the aspirations of society, particularly the needs of vulnerable groups or those at risk of social exclusion. The active participation of Fundación Juan XXIII Roncalli in this process enables the creation of strategic partnerships that foster an inclusive and transformative circular economy system encompassing:
Accessible Innovation and Development: ensuring that R&D&I (Research, Development and Innovation) incorporates citizen participation and that technological advances are also accessible to SMEs and vulnerable groups.
Environmental Literacy: promoting cognitive accessibility, enabling all consumers to access simpler and more understandable information so that they can make informed decisions and participate consciously in circular economy processes.
We are a space for the research and experimentation of Nature-Based Solutions, where inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We serve as a hub for promoting a just and inclusive ecological transition, creating new opportunities for sustainable employment while helping to reduce inequalities and strengthen social cohesion.
